While volumes of available clean hydrogen are low and price is high, Hertha Metals can make steel using abundant natural gas while still reducing emissions. As clean hydrogen comes online in necessary volumes, Hertha Metals can produce even greener steel without changing the Hertha furnace. This minimizes risk of stranded assets in the steel industry as the world’s needs continues to evolve.
